Postponed games?

I see that Brackleys game at Workington has been postponed due to the weather if the cup game against Ashington was to befall the same fate would the replay be held up there on a week night? The financial implications of holding fixtures so far away must have a very money draining effect on small clubs and must be very counter productive on the whole, does the FA consider this when organising these competitions?

As the possible replay has already been given a Saturday slot, I think that would be used for a rearranged game - http://www.afcdiamonds.com/ashington-v- ... n-diamonds . Those clubs who are hoping to win a National competition such as the FA Vase have to be prepared to travel further in later rounds. I'd certainly prefer we put our efforts into a competition like that rather than a mickey-mouse Northants Cup, even if we were to be unlucky with a distant draw.

The Brackley situation is completely different - it was a league game in Conference North. Those teams who aspire to a National league such as the Conference have to show they are willing / organised enough to travel long distances.

Replay with Ashington would be the following Saturday, so any rearanged game would surely be sheduled for that date. Impossible for a club at this level to travel so far midweek.

Good that it's not a midweek replay as the weather forecast is looking decidedly dodgy for the north east in the coming weeks, I wonder if the game gets postponed on more than one attempt they would consider moving the tie to Wellingborough?
