I was really pleased to see Ash between the sticks on tuesday. He well deserves his chance. IMO he is far better than Quincy anyway. His handling is so much more assured and he displays a confidence well beyond his years. Last season he was outstanding and thoroughly deserved his elavation to the full squad. He can be an inspiration to this seasons under 18's that with hard work and good application they can graduate also. If just one player were to be successfully promoted from the under 18's each season that would be a good return on the investment made in the youth set up.

Quincy has never been fully fit, I think he has a problem with his right shoulder/arm,which is shown by his inability to gather the ball cleanly. How often does he lose it and give us, as well as the players, heart tremors. When he attempts to walk the ball around attackers he gives me and my mates the s*******s, and it is only a matter of time before he costs us a goal.

Good Luck Ashley. Hope this has not put the mockers on you!!

He looks like a decent young keeper, but i think he should remain as a back-up for now whether to Quincey or another keeper. The only thing that may be a concern for me is his lack of height, but that never stopped Barthez!

He wasn't really tested on tuesday but looks more ensured that Qunicy - but then again that isn't hard!

Quincy is a good shot stopper and more often than not his handling is fine. It's easy to knock him because he's erratic and unpredictable but in a one-on-one situation i'm confident in him.

I don't think Ash is quite at his level yet but he's still very young for a Goalkeeper and he'll become and asset to us. It's a shame he's not a bit taller.

Personally I agree with most of that, I'd love to see Ash be given a few more chances to prove himself and Quincey has been frustrating at times in many of the games I've seen this season and I'm amazed we've got this far without him costing us a goal, because there's rarely been a game this season where there hasn't been a scary moment with him for example trying to take the ball round an attacker.

Is Quincy back for tomorrow or will Ash get another game?

Ash proved last year for the under 18's that he was the best keeper in the NYSL.

But personally I would still prefer to see Quincy or another keeper in between the sticks, at the moment. But there's no doubt Ash is a keeper with bags of talent, who will be our first choice at some point in the future.

Ash played well agin today, looks confident, but his dead ball kicking needs to be improved

True, but at least he was better than their keeper kicking wise ;)
