Agreed, you knew it was bad as soon as they didnt show any replays, and the fact Shawcross went off crying. Coupled with the sight on tele that you could quite clearly see Ramseys leg hanging at a very wrong angle.
Even I as a Spurs fan am wishing him a good recovery. At his age this could completely ruin his career, whether through not being able to play again but if he is able to play again, he will be mentally scarred and his confidence will have taken a huge knock.

Wasn't paying attention for the initial tackle, but the reaction of the players - and the fact that no replays were shown - says it all... :(

There's a video on youtube but I'm not posting it. I regret watching it. Such a shame to see it happen to somebody so young.
I feel sorry for Shawcross too. Was an aggressive challenge but clearly no intent to injure (as shown by the tears), just hungry for the tackle.

Looked to me like a 50-50 challenge - its an unfortunate accident that's all. Cannot even see the challenge warrented a red (or even, yellow!) card, sad for both players, Ramsey with a broken leg, sure hope he recovers fully, and Shawcross who I sincerley hope is not vilified by fans and the media.
Its a contact sport, a 50-50 challenge, sometimes injuries like this, though we never want to see it happen, will happen.
FA, if you have any balls the red will be rescinded. In the meantime, I shan't bother to pick up any tomato ketchup to help flavour my hat, unlikely the FA would do so, therefore it looks like my hat will stay uneaten.....

I regret watching it now as well, it's an absolutely horrific injury, really hope it's not career threatening but I should imagine it'll be months and months before the poor lad gets to play again. Feel sorry for Shawcross as well though. No one would ever want to to that to another footballer and it clearly has and will affect him badly, can't imagine how gutted he would be at the moment.

Shawcross has been named for the England friendly on Wednesday.
