....... Guernsey when bemoaning our fixture pile up caused by bad weather postponements.

If they do make it to the FA Vase Final they're going to have some seriously tired players. Obviously the FA Vase run has contributed to some of these postponements but it makes you wonder why so many matches have been called off? Is it because of travelling difficulties for them and their opponents caused by the inclement weather?
They have some very impressive home attendances but perhaps that's because they have a captive audience on the island.

Yeah I posted this in the other thread about how they have a few weekends where they have to play Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and I think it was a mixture of both travel and weather, think their pitch was waterlogged for a while and clearly other teams being part time can't travel to Guernsey midweek, so with so many home games to play and limited weekends left in the season they've got no choice but to play 3 times in one weekend! Just hope they have a reserve team, otherwise it will be a real struggle! Although must be fun for the fans getting 3 home games in one weekend

They may have to get the legend Matt Le Tissier out of retirement. That would put another 1000 on the gate. ;)
Apparently considering installing a 4G pitch.

I'm yet to hear a solid and valid explanation as to why the season can't be extended. Not just in our league (where Northampton Spencer have played 20 games this season in 213 days and now have 16 games left to play in 46 days), but in others too. What Guernsey are going to have to go through is a total joke. It's dangerous for the players if nothing else.

This interview here is stated by one of the players that they have a big squad to choose from, so i'd imagine they'll almost pick a different line-up when they have a game the day after.

I don't know how they can be thinking about promotion with that fixture list
I looked at the table and yes IF they somehow manage to at least 7 out of 8 of their games in hand over the leaders then they'd be top, but that quite frankly is a bit too much of an ask considering there's no way they'd be able to put out a full strength team for many of those games. If I was the Guernsey manager I'd just concentrate on the Vase and just try and do your best to consolidate a top half position in the league, cause I can't see how they'd be able to win enough games to get promoted, a promotion and a potential trip to wembley in your first 2 seasons isn't half bad.
Also it seems someone can beat Guernsey's fixture list, according to twitter, Shildon in the NL have 20 games to play in 27 days in April! The Nl table is slightly bizarre, you've got Shildon in 11th having played 25 games and then in 12th you've got Durham having played 38 games
