Probably common knowledge for most but Gateshead are set to play next Tuesday's 'home' game 180 miles away at Boston, making it the 8th different ground they have used for home games this season. With the International Stadium pitch written off for the rest of the season due to drainage problems it means they have played games at Hartlepool United, Carlisle United, Middlesbrough, York City, Blyth Spartans and now Boston. Nene Park anyone ;)

Their final game of the season is supposed to be at Middlesbrough.

I can imagine it will be rocking at the Riverside for Gateshead v Ebbsfleet!

That's bizarre, how many Gateshead fans will bother to turn up to that one, what's the lowest ever conference crowd, cause this one could be sub 100.

Though I wonder whether they'll be able to attract a fairly decent crowd for the Riverside seeing as though its at a much better and bigger venue than they're used to playing at, I know if we were forced to play at the Ricoh or something, personally I'd quite enjoy it!

Makes you wonder at the current state of their finances. It will be costing a lot of money to play these 'home' matches many miles away from Gateshead including travelling costs for their players coupled with very poor attendances.

The ground is owned by the Council and i can only guess that with Drainage problems thats something the Council will have to deal with rather than the Football club. They are in the process up drawing up plans for a new stadium bank rolled by their chairman.
