How many goals...

Has Lee Tomlin scored for us in all first-team competitions, including the pointless mickey mouse ones.
I'm sure he can't be too far away from breaking into the top 10. Ranks scored 40.

Wiki claims 25. Same tally on the OS:
http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Profi ... 26,00.html
Tbh, before this season he didn't score that many goals, so 25 isn't as surprising at this stage.

It is - the stats being looked at there don't include the minor games - try
http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/Stats ... 43,00.html for details up to the start of this season. I suspect the person updating Wiki didn't clarify which competitions were being considered.

No - he'd scored 23 in all competitions prior to this season, as that shows, then another 13 this season = 36 (less one when the Chester goal is deducted = 35).
That link will also show you the historic goal totals for Diamonds players, so you can see where his goal tally fits in the overall list (eleventh).
1 Darren Collins 152
2 Dale Watkins 98
3 Mickey Nuttell 63
4 Onandi Lowe 52
5 Duane Darby 51
6 Andy Kirkup 48
7 Aidy Mann 44
8= Kevin Wilkin 43
8= Simeon Jackson 43
10 Michael Rankine 41
11 Andy Burgess 34
12 Paul Hall 29

Sorry about digging this up, but having a look at previous seasons goalscorers for something else, I realised that the historic goals section was updated for Tomlin at least, taking into account most of this season's goals. Looking at the previous seasons, Tomlin got 4 in 2006/7, 1 in the 2007/8 and 8 last season. He's scored 13 (or is it 14 now?) this season which brings him to 26. He definitely has not scored 35.
I got my stats from:

The link I posted earlier has the correct historic stats to the start of this season (and no further). For the accurate stats to date I refer you to the stats page in the programme, which now has the official version of all of the player stats to date (as well as the form guide and a summary of games played linked to the league table). It confirms Tommo had 35 goals before yesterday, as those you've been looking at are maintained by the Press Association, and don't include FA Trophy, County Cups or Setanta Shield.
For the overall stats all these competitions have to be included - for example Ranks scored 11 goals in those competitions which make up his overall total.
I believe Tommo now has 36 goals as follows
Sat 21/10/06 Weymouth (A) Conference 1
Sat 28/10/06 Altrincham (H) FA Cup 1

Thanks, that explains things now. I didn't realise they didn't include the County Cups, FA trophy and Setanta Shield. On the A-Z of Diamonds they do when it comes to appearances, good example is Darren Collins, without his Hillier Cup appearances, he's ten down.
Again thanks. My only nit pick with the above is that the Chester goal no longer counts officially since it was expunged along with the points. From what I gather it's got the same status as a friendly now.
