Some nice pubs in Stamford, and you may even get to see Andy Burgess play for Stamford.

Unfortunately most of the decent drinking pubs are in the town over the river which is a tidy walk from the ground based in Wothorpe Road. Nearest pubs to the ground are in High Street St Martins and are The George Hotel, The Bull & Swan and The William Cecil.

When I went to Stamford back in May there wasn't much parking in the immediate vacinity although I don't anticipate the crowd on Wednesday will be half the size it was for the play-off final. Regardless, if you're driving save yourselves the bother and head straight to the car park at the bottom of Wothorpe Road which I believe is free after 6pm.

Stamford's OWS says you can park in the school car park next to the ground. There are a few places in the side road, first left past the ground on the way to the Council car park that BR mentioned which is indeed free after 6pm and it's a quarter of a mile walk back to the ground.

I am sure there will be a mixture of first teamers, first team fringe players and trialists as is normal for Pre season friendlies

Well if we put out an XI side (or one mostly consisting of young, inexperienced players) it'll be a massacre. An away friendly against a side 2 divisions above us should and will be taken seriously. I think we can safely assume as many first team players as possible will be involved.
