Re: AFC Dunstable Highlights
Cheers for the highlights, seems that Alfie was interfering because he did effectively force the defender to have to attack the ball.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

Yes think Ref got that one right, good spot by whoever called it for the Dunstable goal, may well of been a Kingy OG though looks like others had the chance to dispatch to D & D car park, and it`s a say nothing and move on with regards to Joe and his amazing heavy right boot :oBob's Bitch wrote:Cheers for the highlights, seems that Alfie was interfering because he did effectively force the defender to have to attack the ball.

Very good highlights this week, cleared up the red card, looks like the ref was actually right

Would appear lots of unjustified abuse was fired at the Ref who got most/all the big calls right, ha ho we have had more than our fair share that have been wrong in the pastrdfc4life wrote:Very good highlights this week, cleared up the red card, looks like the ref was actually right

Re: AFC Dunstable Highlights
On the 'disallowed goal' if the defender hadn't touched the ball and not helped it into the net then the ref, I feel, would have awarded the goal despite Alfie being clearly in an offside position. However, once the defender had touched the ball the ref obviously considered the defender had been 'distracted' by Alfie.

Re: AFC Dunstable Highlights
I don't think it's possible to draw a conclusion about the red card from the video. I have watched it 5 times at 720p and can't see conclusively if/how Joe catches the player.
I was also standing less than 10 yards away at the time and couldn't see it then.
Bearing in mind that Joe is a nice and honest lad I am going to believe that he did not deliberately stamp on the player.
That said, you can see how the ref may have thought it was a stamp, particularly from his angle, so it's probably unfair to criticise his decision too much.
