More detail on the incident here -
http://www.cambridge-news.co.uk/Hunting ... 195706.htm
I can't see Huntingdon being allowed to continue, as if they were it would be seen as a way a side that was losing a game could get a second chance.
I wonder how long it will take the FA to decide on this game. I guess they'll have to wait for the referee's report, and I'm sure there will be the possibility of appeals if either team gets thrown out. Given we are due to play Huntingdon in the KO Cup in 10 days I wonder if they do decide the game should be restaged it might take place then.

The incident also highlights another matter which the FA might wish to consider for future matches. It would seem that Medwynter was looking to throw one of his trademark 'Hail Marys' into the Sleaford Box chasing an equaliser with just three minutes of normal time remaining and was using the Sleaford technical area for his long run up which Sleaford's management appear to take exception with. It poses the question should a player be allowed to use this allocated area?
I recall Peterborough United's long throw expert using the steps of the South Stand (no pitchside barrier) for his run up, in RDFC's last match at London Road, to execute a long throw which I was surprised the officials allowed.
Medwynter was the player whose long throw was responsible for Huntingdon's headed winner in our defeat at their ground.
Medwynter will clearly be serving a very long ban for his part in this disgraceful incident as he had been sent off by the referee for his physical assault on the Sleaford assistant manager.

The technical area is out of bounds for this sort of thing. Mind you managers are supposed to stay in the area, so it's another example of where weak refereeing let's players get away with things.

Oh dear, I can appreciate them wanting to put their version of events out there but it's all a bit undignified in a 'he-said-she-said' playground kind of way!
The FA's reaction will be interesting.

All a bit pathetic isn't it now. Sleaford doing a backside covering job and as stated, he said she said stuff with I'm sure only one aim, to stay in the Comp. Huntingdon with the exception of the initial comment from the Manager who made some sensible points (like they will most likely throw both clubs out) by re tweeting pictures of the sky sports info bar & the lame language being used are almost wearing this as a badge of honour :o Just hope the FA are strong, both out with no right to appeal, next round only 2 weeks away with hopefully some good football stories & this incident can be confined to history. Though I'm sure if 40 Huntingdon supporters were at the game, between us during the next 5 years we will meet 100 who claimed to be

Huntingdon Town TV were not in attendance yesterday.
BBC 606 certainly knew who to follow in this round.

Oh dear, tweet from PT Sport's Mark Plummer.
"@PTMarkPlummer: Huntingdon now accusing Sleaford of racism following #facup abandonment yesterday. This really is becoming a sorry saga #ucl #nonlge"
