What a differance the table looks like now, this is after the kiddy game (our last of 2009)
The 3 places in the play-off that are regreaded as contastable are York, AFC and Mansfield, none on them are in there anymore! Thats the chance in the last 2 months, we still have 2 months left of the season, still time for another twist

That was the last game I attended. :(
Never in a million years when I left the stadium that day did I think playoffs would be a possibility.

That works out at 1.375 points per game for Oxford and 2.2 per game for us. They have 12 games left which gives them pretty much 84 points. We have 11 games left which gives us 83 points. It's close, it's really close.

Plus 3 points that has been recently deducted for our win at Chester which Jim hasn't taken into account!
We've played
10 league matches since the Kiddy match and picked up
23 points, an average of
2.3 points per match. ;)
I make it 7 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat. That's Championship form in anybody's book and it's a pity that the run didn't start in November otherwise we really would be breathing down Stevenage and Oxford necks.

11 more games for us which is a posibilty of 33 more points.
i think theres another big twist going to happen this season so lets hope we keep the pressure on the teams above us and you never know where we can finish.

I think a more telling statistic is our League record before our game at Chester compared to that afterwards.
Pre-Chester we played 15, won 5, drew 5 and lost 5, i.e. 20 points.
Post Chester we have played 18, won 12, drawn 3 and lost 3, i.e. 39 points.
I think this indicates that it took a while for Justin's new team to bed in but they now appear to be a very good unit.
Also, those first 15 games were played in less than 2 months whereas the next 18 have been spread over 5 months, albeit with some cup games interspersed.
The results last night show that there are no given results in this League, something we need to remain very mindful of.
We need to remain focussed, determined and together for the remaining games if we are to see this through to the conclusion we desire.

20 March Altrincham
24 March Oxford Utd
27 March AFC Wimbledon
30 March K*ttering v Rushden & D'mnds
2 April Crawley Town
5 April Kidderminster

It's a very nasty run of games, even Alty and Crawley aren't going to be completely easy and to top that off we'll still have Mansfield and Wrexham to go to and Luton at home afterwards! It's going to take some seriously good performances and results to get a top 5 place that's for sure.

Maybe we should play some Youth Team players for the 'easier' games.
