Hopefully we'll be allowed in their bar this time, as opposed to that assembly room. Also hoping it'll be far less tense than last time, we really need a few wins now.

We never really got to the bottom of who was running the club last time, so it's difficult to judge whether different people are backing it now that Mr Botterill is off the scene.

Let's hope the pitch is still as good as last season and it withstands today's poor weather.

I wonder what the squad will be like, we've got a very busy and tough November coming up, so perhaps could do with resting a few for this one. I think Matt deserves a start ahead of Faz who hasn't been in great form and like said before it would be great to see Lance get a start, but will we see him again in a Diamonds shirt?

This has absolutely not relevance to this thread, but rather than start another one, Spalding have signed Peter Bore who made 153 appearances for Grimsby before leaving them in 2011. Spent last year at Lincoln and Gateshead. Still only 25.

I think this could be quite a tricky game as their results have shown they have improved since last time we played them but I'm going for another 2.0 midweek away win :D

Taylor to score both

What on earth are they paying these players

But I wouldn't say they're completely invincible, they actually conceded a goal on Saturday finally and only beat Yaxley 2-1. Still no doubt they're the best team on paper in the division though and the favourites. I can't believe how strong the top of our leagues have been in our first 2 seasons, first Sileby and Oadby last season, both way stronger than your average step 6 side and now Spalding with a team that could be playing conference football almost!

Its just not sustainable for them though is it? We're doing it the right way and sooner or laterthey'll crash and burn.

Ummm isn't it a bit rich for us to be moaning about another club trying to bankroll themselves up the pyramid? I mean I know there's a lot of debate about 'oh this is a new club' but we wouldn't be following AFCR&D if it wasn't for someone doing pretty much the same thing as Spalding 20 years ago. ;)

I wasn't moaning about it, just giving them the benefit of my experience. I've been watching the Diamonds for MUCH longer than 20 years. ;)
