And whatever is going to happen there 'as of May', if anything, I give it a year before it all goes tits up :roll:

A fair bit of money would need spending to get it useable again plus the hassle of getting a 'Safety Certificate'.
As for the suggestion in the Non-League Matters Forum that possible use for either rugby or athletics, that would not be possible as the available playing area is too small.

There were stories circulating that Eddie McGoldrick is setting up his own football academy in the area and this is the sort of set-up that would be suitable. It does seem that someone at the non league forum has got wind of someone being interested.

The First Football Academy at the school is not due to open until September so perhaps a tie up with Nene Park may not be wide of the mark.

It's run as a sixth form state school, so no fee paying from the kids, can't see him getting funding from the LA to pay for Nene Park.

If only Coventry had moved to NP rather than Northampton, it would have been the most unlikely of ground swaps!

Noticed today there's someone down at NP round at the back cleaning the lower level facia boards!!

The surrounding hedges looked as if they had the barbers round for a quick trim as well :o
