Seems the F.A have now changed their stance and 3G Pitches will be allowed in F.A Competitions at all levels.

Headway is being made on the issue of artificial pitches with the pressure being applied by Maidstone United in particular so all that is needed is for the Conference and Football League to relent on the matter.

Good to hear, a lot of people lament plastic pitches but a good plastic pitch is as good as a good grass pitch - hard to detect a difference on the quality of the game, even if grass is generally preferable. The big advantage is plastic holds up a lot better in wet weather.
