What do you think of giving him the final game of the season at Corby?
The lad has been very patient and good natured, and deserves some reward.
He was not available for the OLD Wulfrunians match, which was really unfortunate as that is the one game he was probably assured of a game.

Nice sentiment but looking at it from another angle, if you were Peaksy and assuming we win tonight and V Welly, it may be runners up spot in the league, and possibly the job may be affected by the result V S&L who would you put between the sticks.
I have no doubt Adam is more than capable of doing the job and respect & admire his patience and attitude, but keeper for me is one position 1st choice always starts.
That said get 3 up by half time and get him on.

Goal difference may also come into play depending on various results between now and then.
It is possible that we could need a big winning margin in that final game in order to finish 2nd/3rd and thus be eligible for consideration for promotion.

Don`t mention the "P" word :o
Next seasons possible options,
A - Still in UCL getting slated daily by Whinnie The Pooh from Deepest Deeping.
B - Up and a possible 2 more enjoyable days in the company of Fat Pat Payment, that is assuming he hasn`t taken other peoples money and moved on to another Club.
C - Up and playing our old mates from up the road.
Looking at it like that, it`s like Russian Roulette with a bullet in every chamber.
Needed to edit, as having read above, sure B & C would of course involve part of A as well.

Still cannot see any promotion possibility - but hoping these posts get rubbed in my face at some point ;)

Going back to Adam, as sussexdiamond and Browinie have said, what a great attitude this young man has, a credit to himself and the club. I don't know if people appreciate how far Adam has to travel but I'm told he has a fair train journey in the week and a long drive at weekends. To do this and all to come and sit patiently waiting for his chance is admirable.
Well done Adam, keep it up.

I agree, that is great committment and very admirable however surely sitting on the bench each week will not improve his game apart from being in the match day squad. Has he played much for the U21's?

Thatcham Town have resigned from the Southern League Div One S&W, presumably freeing up another space.
If spaces were to be filled I believe promotion is offered based on points per game isn't it? Don't know if somebody fancies working that out amongst the promotion applicants. I imagine we'd fair reasonably well although perhaps not well enough.

There you go, BR. Includes tonight's result.
Peter Miller who works this out will be revising on a daily basis:-

So our points per game is 3rd best amongst those that have passed ground grading and aren't currently winning their league. That's a lot better than I thought and it'll likely improve further with a couple of easier looking games to finish the season.
