Another new signing - Liam Dolman

That Daventry Town manager must be getting really p****d off with us but with crowds rarely exceeding 150 what does he expect? Last season's captain and supporters player of the year!

Another statement of intent from our management. Those season ticket prices are starting to look better and better value!

I agree but we are a bigger club than Daventry so have a bigger pulling power.

Excellent signing, a former professional with a load of football league games under his belt.

Dolman, Ashton, Bunting, Confue, Turner & Dunkley will surely be first choice, automatic picks. The team is almost picking itself.

...................................Finlay.....................................

Dolman................Clarke...............Ashton.................Brown

Gearing................Bunting............Confue..............L.Johnson

........................Dunkley.................Turner......................

That's before you've factored in Koriya, Merrill, Lorraine, McBride, Harris or Ling. Be interesting to see where our best player during the second half of last season - Joe Henderson - fits into all of this. I wonder if Clarke will be sacrificed to accomodate Dolman and Henderson used at RB?

Always interesting to define 'bigger'. Daventry would argue longer established and playing in higher league they are but we might from purely a fan based perceptive and I would suggest that we are more professional in organisation and approach.

There is absolutely no way that Liam Dolman can play full back- decent centreback though.

Just looked at some recent photos. Let's just say he's a big lad. Apparently Liam got a standing ovation from the Chesterfield fans at last November's FA Cup match when he was substituted in the 55th minute, when the score was goalless, due to an injury.

With all due respects to players like Alfie Taylor and Ben Morgan who have left, this squad is looking alot stronger than last seasons with all players capable of starting each week. I think the only position that could be made stronger now is in goal, with either a first choice or back up required.

I was only thinking that earlier. Only one senior keeper signed at present plus Gilly. I suppose if he's on the bench then that's emergency cover.

Great signing! And looks like a defender not to be messed with.

Judging by his picture, he might scare a few opposition strikers! :)

I wouldn't define "bigger" in terms of age nor status, they just mean older and higher placed. We're bigger in terms of support which gives us a bigger income ( they're not splashing cash with a rich owner) and bigger potential IMO.
