This tie has been postponed pending an FA Investigation. Presumably someone playing an ineligible player.

Anyone know anything about this?

Seems Kempston are the guilty party. Not getting clearance for an overseas player. He played in both pre- lim matches, so that could complicate matters.

Whilst a couple of clubs have been thrown out of the Vase recently for possibly similar oversights, one wonders what will be done in this case, if proven - perhaps Sileby and Spencer will play off for the right to face Greenford - but there's always the fact that Sunderland were let off without expulsion from the Capital Cup when they admitted fielding an ineligible player who didn't have international clearance. In the FA Cup there's the example how Bradford City were allowed to continue despite fielding a player without formal approval from the club who was loaning the player to them.

The difference between Sunderland and AFC Kempston is that the FA don't give a damn about grassroots clubs but are scared stiff of the "big boys".

if you looked in to the facts about the Sunderland case you will find that it was the club that brought it to the intention of the FA that the said player while still a Sunderland player was not correctly registered after his loan to FC Augsburg ended

I wouldn't beli be that, how it normally works is the FA contact the club and say " would you like to check this player's availability and then tell us if you still want to be in the competition?"
