Goalkeeper from Cambridge.

Rumour on Grassroots forum that he has signed a pre-contract agreement with us for next season.

this wouldn't be a big suprise as it is thought that dale whats to move back up north as they have settled down here!! Danny Potter would be a good signing in my opinion but i would be sad to see dale go, good keepers and wears his heart on his sleeve

There were rumours that he was coming in the window! I would very much doubt that JE would sign a player from outside, especially when he has refused to sort out contracts for players we currently have before the end of the season.

Having said that would be a good signing, but i would not want Dale to go!!!! Could they both be in the same squad if we go up? I wouldn;t have thought so, but would be delighted if they could!!!!!

There's nothing on their boards about it, so I would assume it's left over from the rumour that occurred back in January, until something else appears to add some more weight. If there was anything more to it, I would have thought there would be something on their boards first before it appeared on grassroots. It's only a one off comment anyway.

I don't think it is true. We might have been in contact about a possible move but unless a move for Dale is already agreed then we wouldn't be getting a pre-contract agreement in place (also those things are worth sweet FA, as had been ruled in the past IIRC). Wouldn't be overly surprised to see Dale move to Darlington if he still wants to go back up north.

Potter is a decent 'keeper, but I remarked at the game at their place that I think he is getting a little past it now. His reactions seemed slower, he seemed more reliant on his reading of the game, hence how he was beaten by Tommo's free kick when he really should have been able to make the save.
