If we get the points we need for promotion from this game it will be a bitter/sweet occasion for Dunks and Bunting, as they were so instrumental in Buckby winning the title just 3 years ago and a win for us will probably relegate Buckby.

Do you think the above fact is likely to bother either of them "not a lot not a lot"
Buckby are a Div 1 Club who broke the bank for a season and are just about to find their level again, not like they have been a big UCL Club for years and have fallen on hard times.
PS
If they were instrumental 3 years ago maybe it`s about time we put some words to it ;)

oooh you are hard! You make them sound no better than mercenaries. I am sure they are proud of winning the league and will have a smidgeon of sorrow for the predicament that Buckby find themselves in. Or maybe I am just being sentimental.

Certainly not Mercenaries but 3 years is a long time in football and I'm sure everyone on the playing front from that Buckby era has long since moved on. That was a very good team which I saw a few times, but having spoken to those involved when we played them earlier this season the reasons given for doing what they did for one season were quite pathetic so it's IMO something best left in the history books.

Don't forget that in those days Greg Ling was quite a goal-scorer too - as his hat-trick in this game demonstrated -

This was the sort of game we need to avoid Wisbech repeating, if they think they can catch up our goal difference.

Brad Harris also made a few appearances in Buckby's title winning season.

Finishing bottom is inevitable for Buckby. What will be upsetting for a lot (both) of their supporters is that they have been in this Division since 1972- over 40 years.

Apparently the reason they were so poor against Yaxley on Saturday was that the manager was resting 5 or 6 players in readiness for the game against us. We must remember how poor we were at the end of last season against S&L Corby as they prepared to collect the wooden spoon.

Yesterday marked a year since we lost a league game at the Dog & Duck. I think chances of us screwing this one up are slim.
