For months now, have been thinking this, and was waiting for someone else to say the same, but noone has ;)
Has to be the most under-rated player in the squad this season. He gets virtually no credit, for in my opinion being the key player in our side. He came at a time where we had an average start, and has been made the key Defensive Midfielder role his own. I think if you were to analyse a game, he would have the highest passing accuracy. He never loses the ball with time, and makes good decisions, like putting balls in channels under pressue. He seems to always be available and just holds it all together - a real influence in the middlewho compliments Stuarts passion with a seemingly cool head. It just seems to be he's the experienced Centre Midfielder with ability and experience we have lacked for so long - maybe ever since we lost Butterworth dare I say it.

Agreed. The experienced head we needed in a midfield full of talent, yet inexperienced and occasionally naive.

i have also been saying this. . . great signing IMO!! effortlessly recieves the ball and recycles it cleverly. this gives bynre confidence to go forward and even max is getting more confident going forward after a couple of goals. we haven't got a great team on paper but we complement each other well.

That sounds like the work of a good manager?

Your not wrong. Terry is quality. Helped by the players around him like Byrne and Porter who work their nuts off, but he certainly does his job perfectly.

I would have thought he'll go on to be a future Captain of our team!

Agreed he's quality. I can't remember who did it but one of our players really played him into trouble last night passing back towards goal in the dircection of the Oxford frontline. He could have easily got himself into bother by playing towards the strikers but instead stayed calm completed a more difficult turn away and got rid. Simples.
He plays the game at his own pace never panics and is a calming influence for the likes of Byrne and Porter.

When he first arrived I wondered why so much was made of the signing, but have to say that he has improved tremendously as he has gained match-fitness. He really has become crucial to our midfield. In fairness he does now get MOTM awards and is appreciated more.
What I can't understand is why Byrne is not recognised also - what a fantastic young player he is.
Box to box, never gives up and a real battler with skill.
Probably also the time to say what a fantastic battling team we have now under the stewardship of our manager and coaching staff. We never give up and players like Farrol defend from the front.
As fans, when we lose a game it is all the more bearable if we have seen a 100% fighting performance and that is what we get now, from the back, through the middle to the front.
Best team and season for quite a few years. - hope we can keep them for next season no matter what league we are in.

Don't want to go off topic too much but Mark Byrne is my player of the season. I agree I don't think he's been getting all the recognition he deserves lately.
