If we can win this one, we'll only be 2 points behind Egham and if other results go our way, we could have a shot at the title on the final day. Big ask, but some good travelling support and getting behind the lads, then you never know.

If nothing else, this is a big dress rehearsal for the play offs. Our record away from home, especially against the better sides in this division has been shocking. Hopefully Peaksy can set us up to be tough to be beat but able to counter nicely. Going to miss these 20 minute commutes to games next year :(

With the heavy rain today/tomorrow there must be the chance that this match will be postponed (Newbury races is off today due to waterlogged track).
This would mean a midweek game next week which would clash with the Hillier Cup final and could stretch our limited resources to breaking point.
Surely we would be allowed to field some youth players in the Cup if this did happen.

The weather forecast tomorrow in Egham is (currently) not as bad as here. In fact it's noway near as bad. The thought however did cross my mind about this, presumably the match would HAVE to be played on Sunday/Monday unless they extended the season, but that would have an impact on the play-offs.rushdenman wrote:With the heavy rain today/tomorrow there must be the chance that this match will be postponed (Newbury races is off today due to waterlogged track).

The positive thing is that Egham have a free midweek next week.
Possibly a bigger threat to playoff dates might be the challenge of getting other clubs to complete their games. Aylesbury FC seem to have issues with their pitch, and they are due to host Royston on Saturday and St Ives on Tuesday.

If game where to be postponed tomorrow, and that's a big If, we could play them on Monday evening. That would even it up for Ploppies as they have a game on Monday v Redditch.

I'll be gutted if it's called off - not a chance I can make it to Egham on Monday, or any evening next week for that matter !!
Fingers crossed this rain will bugger off !!!
