Remember that stand well. Used to be able to switch to that end at half time much like you can now at the dog & duck

A fact that a certain "cut me I bleed Diamonds" lady seemed to forget when she pleaded for us to follow "whoever" plays at NP as the stadium was Max's legacy - I couldn't believe my ears !! We all now know what her thinking was eh? (The fact we saw Ladak skulking in one of the rooms along from the Kimberley Suite that night kind of gave it away!!).

We, the fans, are Max's legacy, not a pile of bricks!!

Done my grieving long ago, better gone than watch it slowly decay !! But as others have said, I don't want them to make a brass farthing out of the place, I hope this isn't a ploy to get their planning permission through - if permission for demolishion isn't given I fully expect some foul act to befall the stadium :nono:
RIP Dale Roberts - gone, but never forgotten !!

This is the regulation applying to prior notice of demolition and it will interesting to see how the LA monitor this and 'any proposed restoration of the site'.

The curve of the roof looks like it would attach to the PDB.
R.I.P Dale. We will never forget you.

That's what I thought. Look at the advertising, many of those firms no longer with us including Deejak, local Rushden builders, who constructed the Airwair Stand and other work at Nene Park.

Yeah, that's the PDB end. The stand you can see is the North Stand. Sadly I don't remember that west stand in that state and I was actually looking for photos of the old east stand, before the AirWair went up. I stood on that east terrace for the Merthyr Southern League game. Glory days indeed.

My first game at Nene Park was just over 20 years ago, December 1996. From memory, and I was only 7, I think the only differences at that point from what became the finished product were that the AirWair stand didn't have a roof and I don't think the hospitality boxes in the North Stand were there either but could be wrong.
