From what I gather, the Irthlingborough Diamonds Trust have been absolutely excellent towards AFC Rushden and Diamonds so far :good:

Those pictures remind me of Rockinghorse Road in its heyday

I find it also very intriguing that the demolition contractors are not being allowed on the pitch and I understand that this is due to the covenant in place for the pitch area. Obviously the pitch is currently very poor and boggy but this is no doubt due to blocked land drains.
It will be interesting to see how this develops.
I went down to have a look yesterday and can confirm that the contractors have most definitely been on the pitch!

The De Banke and North Stand are completely removed along with half the South Stand and Diamond Centre.
However, for anyone still clinging to the remote possibility of an eventual return to Nene Park I have some good news - the goal frame at the Airwair end is still in place!

Had a look as well today, about a third of a stadium left now, they were eating into the last quarter of the South Stand when I got there, very surreal and sad sight.
