A bit of fun
It's quite quiet on here at the moment so I thought I would drop in a question
If you could sign 4 players (try to keep it sensible and even semi realistic) who would it be?
My choices as a starter
1) Stainfield (Spalding) would love to see him and bully at centre half
2) Claudio Hoban - have Cleary missed him this year
3 Aaron O' Conner
4) Malbon from Kidsgrove - unlikely but what a player!

Two decent wide midfielders. Hoban and Evangelinos.Sam Smith back from Oz and O Connor.

My 4 would be.
Jamie Anton (Corby) defender, to tighten up the defence, a good move for us.
Aaron O'Conner back.
Brendan Matthew (Egham) striker, he knows how to score goals at this level, has done it for a number of seasons. Number 1 target.
I agree it would be good to get Hoban back.

Two of the 4 following strikers.
Leon Lobjoit - on loan from Npton
Sam Smith - scoring goals for fun in Oz
David Pitt - Brackley
Aaron O'Connor
Trouble is 2 of those 4 players would together cost more than 50% of Andy's weekly budget!

Re: A bit of fun
We will lose Nabil if we don't get a good strike partner for him and of course two wide men. Assuming Ashton is recovered we have the makings of a strong defence and midfield. It is the strike force that desperately needs strengthening.
We also need to start promoting some of the under 21's or any decent ones will drift away.

Re: A bit of fun
Hilliard is a great shout and I don't see why that's necessarily unlikely. He has history with the old club and has played in the SLD1C in the past. Depends how much £ he's looking for I suppose.
Besides that I've always liked Ryan Robbins who finished last season with Sutton Coldfield having appeared for Coalville and Stamford before that. One of the best local non-league strikers in my opinion and played with Nabil at Stamford for a couple of years. St Kitts & Nevis international!
Ben Mackay is another striker who could be attainable having played for Coventry United at Step 5 last year.
Evidently we need wingers so besides Hilliard either Hoban or Evangelinos would be great. I don't mind which one!
There's 4. I'd really like to see Callum Westwood back as I thought he looked like an outstanding prospect. Not sure whether that counts as a new signing!

That's true, although I'd have thought he'd be more likely to return to St Neots/Step 3. I could be wrong on that one.
