It wasn't a vintage performance yesterday by any stretch and the pitch probably played a part in that as it looked really heavy in places following the recent rain. It didn't need to be, though. What was very noticable to me, and I thought this when we played Corby too, is that we've so clearly left that level of football behind. To make changes across the team and still be able to thrash a lower mid-table Step 4 side like we did last night speaks volumes and it's hard to imagine we were playing sides like that week-in week-out less than 2 years ago.

Sounded like a thoroughly professional performance from the lads as I gleaned from the excellent Radio Diamonds coverage over the much improved broadcasting platform.
A bit shout out to the sole commentator, Joe, who I gather is only 18 years old and did a first rate job of describing the action. Top stuff!

Some strike by Nathan hicks as well, volleying home from the edge of the box. It flew in so quickly, nobody had time to cheer it due to the disbeif. Having said that, all the goals were taken well and gosnal-tyler put in his best performance in a afcr&d shirt.

From the edge of the box!!! By the time Hicksy had got to the bar he was claiming 35 yards, I’m looking forward to the coach trip on Saturday by which time I’m sure he’d have been in his own half.
To be fair it was a bloody good strike.
