Anyone think those of us travelling to Mansfield (our 1000th game) should think of something to comemorate this?

Anyway, new feature on the OS looking back at our 100th game: http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/NewsD ... 55,00.html

I did think the same when I read that. A giant banner and 1000 red, white and blue balloons?!

Could you imagine 1000 balloons? There would probably be about 200 of us there we would be swimming in them!

Good idea though ;) . Who's volunteering to blow them all up?

If there are 200 of us there, then that's only 5 each; easy! ;)

Failing that, we could enlist some K*ttering fans to blow them up for us, they're all full of hot air!

To be fair Dave, K*ttering fans have had the "wind" knocked out of them by the best team in Northants in the last week - I think their balloon blowing ability is probably on par with their on field ability as of now! :D

This may be a silly question, but where does the Chester game this year fit in? Does it count?

The Chester game (10.10.09) was declared Void, therefore does not count towards the 1000.
This also applies to:
K*ttering (19.4.95 - abandoned at half time due to floodlight failure)
Kings Lynn (3.10.95 - declared void after Kings Lynn fielded an ineligible player)
Baldock Town (26.10.95 - abandoned after 25mins due to frozen pitch)
Leek Town (22.9.98 - abandoned 86mins due to nearby chemical factory fire)
Those four games were all replayed.

Ok thanks, i assumed it would be, but wasn't sure! Tbh honest also hoped someone hadn't thought of it, and we could celebrate at home, though thought that would be a long shot!
