Well 3 points away from home in this league has to be a good start to the year and keeps us comfortably mid table which is probably a fair reflection of the season so far. It was a game that we would expect to win against a clearly struggling St Ives.
The new signing is physically strong, direct and prepared to run his full back and should create plenty of chances.
It certainly wasn’t a game of beauty and they kept it interesting scoring off their few chances.
We seemed indecisive at crucial moments and one or two players switched off and deserved the wrath of the captain, who scored a text book header.
Need to up the pace a little for Barwell.

A game of some right scrappy goals (Bully’s excluded) and we missed enough chances to have been out of sight more than once. Presume our second goes down as an OG and not as scoreflash had it, unless the rules have changed on straight from a throw.
Three points was minimum requirement today so job done but hopefully we’ll look a little less rusty on Saturday.
New man looked good and he gets to play on a relatively flat dry pitch he will give some poor fullback a bloody hard time.

Yes, I thought we looked a little rusty and our youth sometimes struggled to stay in the game, but from time to time we flashed into life and should have killed them off a lot quicker.
I thought Ashton touched the throw in, it definitely took a touch from someone.

Watched it about 10 times and we could be generous and give it to Greg on his debut but it certainly looks to me like a OG.Three of Diamonds wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:47 pm Yes, I thought we looked a little rusty and our youth sometimes struggled to stay in the game, but from time to time we flashed into life and should have killed them off a lot quicker.
