Re: Hayden Road - Pitch & Ground Maintenance Updates
Emergency/Stand lighting added to both main stands at DeBanke end - 3 Units in each stand. Will be controlled by stewards pre-match/half time if needed. In the event of a floodlight failure they will activate automatically to ensure visibility for exiting stands.
Central Unit fitted above stand signage to highlpight that as well as act as general lighting. Others are above the exit walkways of the stand.

Re: Hayden Road - Pitch & Ground Maintenance Updates
Reminder on volunteers etc..(as posted above).
VOLUNTEERING
We have a small whatsapp group with people who have volunteered in the past which I tend to communicate on to grab people when needed to do the tasks - socially distanced etc.. as required these days. If you are not already on it, and wish to be added just message me directly on here via DM (not posted in this thread), and I can add you to the group. I'll try to have a few weekday daytime slots, as well as some weekend Sat/Sun slots too.
Post Match Pitch volunteers - also if anyone would like to volunteer to help do basic post match work, the groundsman is looking for a few people to spend 20-40 mins post match on the pitch to do general divoting repairs. The groundsman will do the relevant training with you. Ideally we want people that can do it regularly immediately after matches where possible (Saturdays and Weeknights). Again DM me privately on here and will add you to the relevant whatsapp group or I can grab your contact info (phone/sms/email). Generally for this you'd come to the area near turnstiles post match to collect forks/bib etc.. and then do some repairs on an allocated part of the pitch. The best time for all repairs is immediately post match in most cases - though often at present we do the following day or during Monday after a Saturday match which isn't ideal.

Re: Hayden Road - Pitch & Ground Maintenance Updates
Last week the remaining work on the conifer trimming was completed (as started end of March, after platform was repaired).
Thanks to Vernon and the team at Tree Solutions for the work, with the pitch and walkways left immaculate after the works. Highly recommended.
A few pictures from the works follow. The conifers were trimmed to leave green live growth to retain the look and infill, without cutting back into the dead part of the core of the tree (as we did for the lower parts along the walkway to give headroom height along there previously). There are 2 types of trees - hence the colour change near Chris Ruff stand.

Re: Hayden Road - Pitch & Ground Maintenance Updates
The bulk of the work this time was to do the area left last time in Jan 2019, above Chris Ruff Stand down to the corner. This was starting to impinge on the floodlights and also causing pitch shadows which ultimately would lead to flood light level reading failures - hence it's key to clear around the floodlights in particular.
Some 6-10 foot was taken off the depth in this area - to bring back in line with the floodlights, whilst ensuring we kept the conifer foliage/cover.
The other side that was done back in Jan 2019, had another 2ft taken off (the regrowth), so we should have a good 4-5 years before another full trim is needed. We may need a simpler trim at some point close to the floodlights potentially.
Chris Ruff stand end - level trim in line with floodlights as far as possible. A few areas the amount taken off was such that it may not grow back with foliage/coverage - but that was limited to a few small areas.

Re: Hayden Road - Pitch & Ground Maintenance Updates
Most of the LED Walkway lighting for the far side is now in place - alongside some fence panel replacements.
This is low level lighting designed to just light up the footpath, replacing the individual battery/motion units we had before to increase coverage.
LED Walkway lighting (note: This is without floodlights on, which would normally be on when spectators are in the ground, these just help to improve low level visibility).
