Just been sent a link to Rushden Town who have just reported the sad passing of Max. Where do you start with someone like Max who did what he did. I’ll leave that to others who knew him better and longer than myself but from 1996 when I first started visiting Nene Park he certainly played a big part in memories that will remain with me forever. That Tuesday night in Strikers Bar when Yeovil had dropped points and providing we didn’t concede 15 at Chester promotion had finally been achieved.
RIP Max and thank you for everything.

Such sad news, so many happy memories and in truth, without him we wouldn’t have what we have today - his true legacy is the fans he brought together, not a pile of stones off the A6!

A lovely “gentle”man who I will have fond memories of.

Some people who you aren’t personally connected to pass away and you feel genuine sadness for the loss of just a really nice person - Max was one of those! Met and spoke to him on many occasions, always found him to be a delight to chat to! The day Bobos and myself gate crashed the end of season players party one year will always remain with me - we chatted to him for ages and his passion for the club and football shone through!

RIP Max, a true Diamond and a total legend!!
