Great to see the twitter page hyping this one up and social media abuzz with anticipation, yes we've missed golden opportunities (Biggleswade, St Ives big opportunities missed) to secure a playoff place earlier, but we can't complain about being in a position like this with something to play for on the last day of the season where most teams don't so that is very exciting! Hoping for 700+

Would love an early goal to settle the nerves as it could get a bit nervy today, especially if the scores are level for a long period of time, but confident we'll be in the playoffs by the end of the day whatever happens, Alvechurch have a stinker of a game against an in form Royston to finish the season who seem to be enjoying playing without pressure.

Come one you Whites!!

Nervous and excited for this one. I’d be tempted to put Hughes back in at centre half if fit and Paddy back to right back… Diamonds done a job but gives more flexibility if he’s available to go in midfield/up top later on?

Completely agree with this. Diamond has done a decent job filling in, bit he's far more effective on the middle of the park. Have faith in Hughes to come back in at CB, I think he's done well there when called upon this season.

Absolutely buzzing for this today!! Come on you Whites!!!

Embarrassing. To get into the playoffs you need to want it, unfortunately it looked like many of our players simply did t want it. You have to earn it. To play like that today and on Monday was abysmal. The 2 worst performances for months at the very worst time. Did we even have a shot? To be fair we have been clinging on to that spot for weeks, just not good enough at the end. Fair play to Alvechurch, I always though they would be the ones to give it to us by dropping points but they have been impressive. We unfortunately havnt.

Shambles.

No doubt Burge will assemble the squad he wants to go again next season but we can't ignore in this moment that it's utterly shambolic that we've thrown away a play-off place from where we were 5 or so games ago. Five points from the final five games is shocking form, we simply didn't deserve that place in the end.

Well that was disappointing, but then again we were punching above our weight most of the season and if we managed somehow to secure that point it would be embarrassing to loose again to Brownies favourite team, sorry but our form for the last few games has been poor and no way would we get to the playoff final.

The in form team is Alvechurch so could see them make the Final.

What happens now is open to debate. will we get the Sponsors with deeper pockets so as to keep some players and improve the team further for another go next season and also how it goes with getting a new Chairman, that is if any body has come forward with the enthusiasm to take us to the next level.

I don't really buy in to any of the "we'd have taken it at the beginning of the season" nonsense. Was there for the taking and we've completely bottled it. Not good enough against Ives or Nuneaton. Maybe we would have lost on the play offs, but maybe we wouldn't have. Coalville didn't beat us in the league this year, Sports are more than beatable.

Have full faith on Burgess though to kick us on next season, but for today, I'm definitely gutted

To fail to reach the playoffs from the position we were in a week or two ago, and even at 3pm today, is a crushing disappointment. There's no hiding from that. Missing players have played a part but ultimately we couldn't have hand-picked a better opposition for the final game, and at home too, we just weren't good enough. We aren't good enough.

In a week or so's time once everybody has calmed down, there will be a realisation that both on the field and off it this club is in no way shape or form ready for Step 2 football. Had we reached the play-offs today, we would have made up the numbers.

A fascinating summer awaits for various reasons and I have a suspicion we may not recognise too many of the players that line up for us in August. Some deserve to go higher, others aren't going to fit the style Burge wants to play, some he will have seen enough of. One thing's for sure though, unless we do something about that embarrassment of a pitch we won't attract or retain the sort of players we need to push on or be able to play the sort of football Andy wants.

Congrats to Dean Snedker on his well deserved POTS award. Collard and Paddy worthy runners-up but a word too for Tshikuna who was a 7 or 8/10 most weeks having stepped up a level this season.

Well done too to the social media team who did a great job of generating interest in today's fixture and probably put 100 on the gate.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....
