Week Ending 17th June.

Mark has cut a few more times, with occasionally early/late watering. Hopefully we get some of the thunderstorms over the weekend to get water across the entire pitch as with sprinklers we have limited coverage.

In addition Glenis has been up to polish the stand seating, after they were jet-washed a few weeks back. A few fence repairs ongoing and minor painting updates.

Hopefully this is what we get today - would be great for the pitch.

Pitch progressing - line marking in the next week or so ahead of the first match in just over a weeks time. Still not had much rain, so had to use sprinklers quite a bit.

Ahead of the first matches starting next week, MarkP has done the initial line marking earlier today (Goals were put back in yesterday).

Still lots of watering going on as the dry weather continues...

The pitch is looking so good, congratulations Mark.
  • Play it out from the back.
  • 1 up front.
  • Man gets one good result via a new manager bounce and thinks he's Pep Guardiola.

Latest pics from Mark Panter ahead of tonight's match (from his twitter - reposted here with permission as he restricts posts to followers).

Like I never left  . Prepped and ready. Tough 6 weeks getting this round. Weather completely against us. Overall pitch could be better but with such little rainfall and 3 small sprinklers,, getting root strength/growth while trying to keep it green has been a challenge.

Note: Far side touchline is always difficult to get water into - the conifers take up all the available moisture - so we aim to get sprinklers just to edge of the pitch not up the banking (not sprayed :-) ).

Does anyone know what type of camera is used to take these photos? The quality is so good and they are less than 1mb, i can't get anywhere near that type of quality and my pics are all over 3mb.
