So how many first team players do we have registered for the opener? Do we have enough to fill a bench?

I make it 14 signed. Snedker, Casey, Hughes, Lashley, Evan, Akubine, Hicks, Pinto, Corden, Chikamba, Cooper, Sutherland, Morley, Furlong plus Ngwa and Connor when completed and maybe Fossen.

Josh Going as well, 15.

FBT apparently back mid September so can assume he won't play til October if he does re-sign. Hopefully there are one or two loan deals in the pipeline (someone from that Luton XI would be nice!) as well, but certainly extras needed. If it was me I'd take a few players from Daventry or Corby just to fill out the squad, think we'd all take Tom Lorraine back in a heartbeat right now!

As it stands, do we have a back up keeper. I believe Nixon is at Desborough.

I heard a rumour don’t know how true this is that Tom asked to come back to do a week’s training before Daventry started but was told by a board member no we only wnat committed players to diamonds,so think Tom every player for club again would be a massive no from him especially how rude the board member was & no way to treat a club legend

I would be amazed if that were true

I not only heard the same story but I heard it from Tom himself so it is not a rumour! Another wonderful piece of PR from our board! Communication - poor1 PR - non existent and Man management - non existent!!

You cant be treating LEGENDS like that. Makes no sense to say at the start of preseason only players committed to diamonds can come train, must have only been about 4 people training including the coaches then.
Sends a bad message to players who will talk to Lorraine about diamonds. How we letting school boy errors like this happen, if we are so lacking the funds area thought we’d make up for it by having good rep with players. Shameful1
