Hopefully we will put on a better display and at least make a game of it,Peaksy must be rubbing his hands together at what looks an easy game for his team, but you never know.It will be good to see our old diamonds again.

A glimmer of hope is that Peaksy does not have a very good record in Trophy matches, long may it continue. Having said that anything less than a 0-3 result would be acceptable under current circumstances.

The next round is on 29th Oct, so regardless of who wins on Saturday our league game will be postponed.

If the person(s) at the club who drives away all the volunteers hasn't driven away the players I think we will probably be edged out 2-1.
Hopefully there will be a decent turn out as it will be a chance to thank Andy Peaks for all he did for the football club.
If what the Pressman said about the boards treatment of Peaks was true, I'm sure Peaksy will have been having a chuckle when he read the Chairman's comments about how the club has took a leap forward in terms of professionalism.
It's not often a manager can leave a job at a club who are flying high and then 8 months later see them at the foot of the table in complete turmoil, you would be easily forgiven for thinking that maybe it was Andy Peaks and his staff who were actually holding this club up, since it has gone down like a led balloon so rapidly.

We've got a pretty dismal record in the trophy and it's highly likely this will continue. It's a free hit anyway. Main aim now is to try and avoid relegation this season

I personally believe it was Peaksy who did hold the whole thing together for many years, the long list of very good players who have worn the shirt under his tenure didn’t do it for the money, many had no great historic affinity to the Club and they certainly didn’t do it for the way they were treated by those who run the Club, he had something that made players want to play for him, sadly something else that was missed by those running the Club.NN10-Nige wrote: ↑Wed Oct 05, 2022 3:07 pm It's not often a manager can leave a job at a club who are flying high and then 8 months later see them at the foot of the table in complete turmoil, you would be easily forgiven for thinking that maybe it was Andy Peaks and his staff who were actually holding this club up,

Exactly what Brownie has put. Think of the players that Peaksy persuaded to come to this club. Obviously at different times but put together over the years the players we have had and we have close to a title team.
