Yes they do

The 3G pitch can have a negative effect when clubs with it play away from home as illustrated in the very honest and comprehensive St Ives match report. The author says that Ives took much longer to come to terms with the pitch, which was obvious as they made so many mistakes in the first half.

3 of the top 6 clubs in the away league table all play on 3g.
The bottom 5 clubs in the away league table all play on grass.

Whilst I agree St ives struggled with it, I do think the opposite. We have struggled on 3g pitches in the past against teams who play on it weekly, with the odd exception (Tamworth away bully’s screamer).

I will take the mud and grass all day over the 3G. Hate the stuff.

We usually play better against st Ives at home. Their place, I don't think I've ever seen us win.

Old school, if you can play on Jubilee Park you can play anywhere. Hayden Road like a lawn compared to Jubilee!!
