Harlow Town resigned mid-season and it was assumed that following precedent they would be regarded as the bottom club. Kempston even wrote in their match programme yesterday that they were assured of another season at step 4. Very poor of the FA. They should surely publish what the rules are before the season starts, not after it has ended,

Totally agree , shabby way to be treated

The FA has today "clarified" their position. They have released a statement saying Kempston are safe after all, so justice has been done, but they really need to improve their communication.

Part of the problem is that the FA tell the Leagues and the County FA's what the position is.

The Leagues and County FA's then chose to interpret it differently and cause the confusion.
