We just didn't turn up for the first 10 minutes.

Their penalty seemed a bit soft, the sort of thing that 3 out of 4 times doesn't get given.

We seemed to struggle with their pace up front at the start.

Referee seemed to totally have lost control, letting things slide one minute, then pulling up minor offences the next.

From about 15 minutes onwards we were the better of the 2 sides - but just lack that clinical touch up front.

If it wasn't for the results today we would be getting sucked down into a relegation battle, & I don't think we are out of it yet either! If I'm honest, the future is not looking bright, and I'm led to believe we are overspending (the budget) for this too???

It really puts in to perspective though how great our start to the season was! We have picked up 3 points from our last nine games, so 3 out of a possible 27. Quite clearly that is relegation form, yet we are still 8 points above the drop zone. There’s time to turn this around, let’s see who we have signed over the next couple of days! I appreciate that there may not be much wiggle room in the budget now if the overspending rumours are true, but clearly we still need some extra quality and obviously the squad is thin. Our latest signing seems like a good player, so hopefully the next couple are of similar pedigree. I have tried to be positive about every signing so far this season, especially back in the summer, but to be honest I might implode this time if we make another signing from Bugbrooke haha.

If my auntie had wheels she'd be a bike!!!

The facts are the facts and despite a poor run of form where we've only picked up 3 from a potential 27, we find ourselves 8 points ahead of the drop zone with plenty of football left to play. In a season where the intention was to stay in the league and continue the consolidation off of the pitch, we're really not too far off of target. The lack of points in recent times is a concern, of course it is, but it's not panic stations just yet.

I try and stay away from posting here too much because it's important that people can air their views, but I'd hope the current contingent of board members have a bit more credit in the bank than what is being afforded to us right now. There's a budget for the season, and to manage this it's measured in weekly phases. With regards to phases were slightly ahead of where we could be, but there's a lot of factors that contribute to the total between now and the end of April and we are well aware of what levers we need to pull if and when the time comes. I'd hope that given what we've done over the past couple of years we're afforded a bit more credit than the hyperbole of "overspending" that some people seem desperate to keep pedalling in recent weeks.

The numbers show that on the first half of last season where we picked up 4 points between the start of the season and the end of the calendar year we underspent the phased budget drastically. By the end of the season, where we spent in line with the season total we did (just) enough to give ourselves a chance.

We'll manage the budget, that's our job, and a lot of work goes in to monitoring it on a game by game basis, and we'll always ensure that we don't risk the future of the club to win football games, but don't let the past 9 results overshadow what we have achieved in the first half of this season. There's a few crucial games coming up, and we need to see some points returned, but the constant doom pedalling from certain sections, and the appetite to have a moan about anything and everything doesn't help.

Come to the games, support the team and support the club in ensuring that we achieve our goals this season and onwards.

Seeing fans dropping negative comments on everything the Club posts or announces, then amplified by the freeloading offspring of former board members doesn't make things much easier.

We can all choose to either get behind the manager and team, or pull them to pieces at every opportunity. Ask yourself what has more value.
