Young Hembury also sounds promising but Pryke and Punter not too sure about. If this lad Gilchrist is any good he could be the answer to our centre back problem. Who were the other trialists last night?
Mcgeorge, a centre midfielder who looked like a shorter version of Curtis. Seemed a confident player with some neat touches, but probably lacking fitness. Might be a worthy signing but do we need another central midfielder? Boating, a striker who didn't get long enough to impress. Would have to have some real quality if he was to dislodge shariff, Dillon, Lorraine from the side.

Chief Boateng - that's a very impressive name!

I've just published the match report from Wednesday night's game giving line-up subs and a bit about the trialists.

Gyasi has been impressive as much for doing his hard working defensive duties as for some attacking flair and some decent finishes. Fairlamb good on the ball and filled in well at full-back on Wednesday and set-up the third goal with a great run. Dillon in the right place to finish well in the last two games and improving every game.

Darryl Smith has had some usefull contributions and also works hard. Not always in the game as much as you'd like but had one great effort last night and probably should have scored with a far post header.

Henbury is quick and skillful and full of energy to make up for being on the smaller side. Pryke looks dependable playing both centre-half and full-back.

Cameron Gilchrist looked the most impressive of the trialists from last night. Good positioning, quick to the ball and anticipated the play well. McGeorge looked to need to build up his fitness but some good touches. Chief Boateng was powerful and set-up the 4th goal but too early really to tell.

I think Gilchrist and Boateng are worth some more time tonight with another full squad run-out. Not sure about starting line-up but for Hanwell but something like Finlay, Westwood, Brown, Gilchrist or Pryke, Dolman, Farrell, Curtis, Gyasi, Fairlamb, Dillon or Lorraine, Shariff.....

I was wondering about Bunts. Without him in CM we now only have Curtis and Farrell. Losing Oulton is a real blow.
We need to find someone extra as Bunts is a bit prone to injury.

If we sign Pryke, Punter and Gilchrist that will give us the defensive cover we need both at CB and WB.

Other areas we seem to be ok at the moment.

Who will start in goal? Time for Heath I think.

Don't forget Leslie, he plays in the centre and I think smith can play there as well

I don't think that Curtis has been that impressive in a diamonds shirt either, he did score a couple of crackers and won motm against Loughborough but that's about it. I don't think either player is strong enough if we want to win the division.
