MODS, YOU CAN UNPIN THIS NOW!!!!

Post by Pigman »

..............here please, just to help Keith plan for the night, he's always done a pretty good job at answering these in his presentation - perhaps a mod could pin this thread? These are some of the questions I'd like to see answers to, please add your own. PLEASE DON'T ENTER INTO DEBATE ON THESE QUESTIONS ON THIS THREAD - I WILL EMAIL IT TO CLUB A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE FORUM TO TRY AND GET AS MANY ANSWERED AS POSSIBLE (AS I DID LAST TIME), IT'D HELP IF IT WEREN'T CLUTTERED WITH PEOPLE'S RESPONSES - THANKS!!

1. What is the latest financial situation of the club? We keep seeing our name on winding up orders - can you share some background to this?

2. What is the latest situation with the hotel? When will/will it be built? What is the current situation?

3. How are your efforts to "sweat" the NP facilities going?

4. If we qualify for the play-offs and meet Luton or Oxford in the semi Finals, will the North and Airwair stands be givene over to away supporters to enable the club to benefit from the maximum ticket sales possible?

5. Should we gain promotion to League 2, how will this help our financial situation and in particular, what impact will it have on our youth team?

6. If we gain promotion via the play-offs, are we likely to see the Airwair Stand open for more games? To see all 4 sides of the ground open would be great and splitting the Airwair Stand for home/away fans would be good to see and improve the NP atmosphere.

7. Again, should we gain promotion, will the manager be given resources to strengthen the squad?

8. Can you confirm that Justin will be tied up on a new contract as soon as possible please? He is one of the best young managers in the country at the moment and I'd hate to lose him.

9. Can you please confirm that you personally are as committed as ever to the club and will be here as Chairman for the foreseeable future?

10. Finally, not a question, but a statement - please convey my personal thanks to everyone at the club, from yourself and the Board at the top, to all the backroom staff, the admin staff, to the coaching and management staff and players and all the volunteers for a fantastic season. No matter what the end result this has been a fabulous ride and I feel so proud of what has been achieved this season, even if we don't qualify for the play-offs or gain promotion via them if we do !!!

To add to question 6, i'd like to know if there are any plans to reopen to airwair to home fans next season perminantly, if attendances keep improving like they have.

1. Can you advise on the situation regarding shirt sponsorship for next season ?

2. What are the areas where additional support from volunteers can help make further cost savings ?

3. What is the situation regarding the Fans Trust and the Club - what consultation is there with the Trust over certain club decisions ?

4. How are the Olympics preparations going - what other benefits might be seen by the Club ?

5. What benefits do you expect we might see if England wins the World Cup bid and Milton Keynes gets to the final stage of stadium selection.

6. Do we see any benefits from the new NHS facilities next door - have we thought of providing facilities they might use - e.g. Sports Centre or Coffee Shop.

7. Given the problems seen at Stevenage and Oxford this season, has this impacted on our policing costs - and what steps are being taken to reduce the chances of reoccurrence ?

Are there plans to increase advertisement of games in the local area next season, cost depending?

Is radio diamonds set to continue? Are there plans to make it more high profile?

Is there anything you can do to convince the idiots at Radio Northampton to cover more of our games like all the other local radio stations do? (I'm happy for the wording to be changed ;) )

What is the progress on the cinema complex that was rumoured to have being built? How are you planning to co-ordinate this into the football club?

(a cheeky one) Does Colin Hill/Lee Power still have any influence on the football club, whether it be financially or whatever?

That's been superseded by the NHS development etc. ;)

Further to this what are the plans regarding the income for the football club - ie. will it lease out the land or be a buinsness patner to see part of the profits etc.

I can tell you here and now that the answer to this will probably be - neither is involved financially or otherwise. Lee Power is involved at Weymouth (IIRC) and wouldn't be allowed to be involved financially, Colin Hill never was is the official line there.

It's the ex-Cambridge United Chairman, George Rolls who's at the helm at Weymouth. Didn't think Power/Hill got involved.

I did notice there was supposed to be no debate on this thread, but as there are debates popping up everywhere, i'll say that who Radio Northampton decide to cover is down to them and them alone.
