Deeping drew 1-1 at Desborough today, previously won 3 on the trot all by single goal. With prize money doubled this season a decent run would net us 18k prize money just getting to 3rd qualifying or £58 if we reached 1st Round Proper!!!. We have not had much luck with home draws in the past couple of seasons and always go out to team one or two divisions above us so maybe Lady Luck will be with us this year.
I wonder if Dolman or Diamond will be fit for the weekend. We should be able to beat Deeping without them so may be best if we wait until Monday. Will Lobjoit and Hopkins be available or will there clubs not want them cup-tied.

If available we need to be giving those returning players some game time. We really could do with a decent cup run so we need our best available XI starting. It's a good chance to get back to winning ways after two unlucky losses.

Absolutely. We will be comfortable favourites for this game, so Deeping will be going into it with nothing to lose, dreaming of a giant killing. We've caused a few upsets as the plucky underdog in the past few years, so should be well aware that league placing counts for little in the FA Cup. With no expectations to achieve anything in the league this year, a good cup run would define our season, so we mustn't let complacency cost us at the first hurdle. I'd have our strongest possible XI out this weekend, and I'm sure Peaksy will do the same.
Let's hope for a disciplined performance in all senses. We've conceded almost as many penalties (2) as we did for the whole of last season (3), and I've seen three "red card" challenges in the three games where we have escaped with a yellow.
