Indeed - rain and 45 mile plus winds forecast from around 10am on Saturday morning. Let’s hope the Tamworth management/fans don’t allege that we are trying to avoid them!
Got to be in serious doubt, not only what’s coming Saturday but what we had last night and will be getting later today and through the night. Presume the final decision will be down to Peterborough Sports as I’m sure they’ll have an opinion. I did notice they posted some images of what I assume is their ground, fencing down, roof from a neighbouring building beside the pitch with a footnote “pitch playable though”
I noticed that we maintained our 6th position in the league on Tuesday evening after those lads from Needham once again performed in an away fixture by defeating Coalville.
Guess the pitch will need to be very good at 9.00 and possibly subject to another later inspection as from the latest forecast it may not be raining at 9.00 but starts soon after then doesn’t stop till late afternoon. Expect the worst I think.
Changed again and heavy rain may not start until mid afternoon, I’m still not optimistic.
