Jason Kilbride has 'retired' due to injuries, if that's the correct word at this level.

Ben Ford has not been offered a deal for next season so leaving Bedford, seen him a few times since he’s been there and always done ok often playing in midfield. All the best to him wherever he ends up.

Ross Oulton back at Stratford again.

I see more and more clubs are starting to announce signings, and a September start date for the National League and NLN/NLS has been mentioned, with some restrictions on crowd capacity and away travel.

June is always a quiet month for us. New signings are never announced until pre season commences, and even then not much detail given. Usual scenario is several un named trialists and we have fun trying to identify them. Then on eve of first competitive game signings formally announced.

They like switching between the group of Clubs below Birmingham, the midlands marauders appear to be on a par with the good old Lincolnshire mercenaries from our UCL days. Give them another £10 pledge to win the league and when the music stops see who’s where.

A few seasons back didn’t the club announce players who had resigned for the club before pre-season started, and a few of those ended up leaving?

It was then decided not to make any announcement of that nature in the future until pre-season began.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

Problem is for us to attract players at this level, is the catchment area. We've tried to bring in players from the Leicestershire area but they don't usually stick around long, citing the travelling to be s problem. You might get a player at say lowestoft town who would be interested in joining, but isn't going to travel 2 and a half hours to a home game and further away. That's why the Birmingham based clubs are going to do better as they all have a decent fan base and within a close vicinity.

Agree and sure we all appreciate geographically we are not best placed to be involved in the player musical chairs which is possibly a good thing as in the main we’ve tended to have a fairly loyal playing staff. I was just making the point highlighting the excessive movement at some Clubs in our league, one announced yesterday, Ravi Shamsi heading to Nuneaton he’s had about 7 Clubs including being at Banbury on four separate occasions and he’s only 22, I guess if you ask him how to spell loyalty he’d probably think it starts with a £.

Would love to see Fernando back at Hayden Road. I feel as if he has unfinished business here!
