Just hope the weather does not cause a postponement.

Ilkeston have released a statement effectively forfeiting this game. Their reasoning seems fair to be honest but I doubt we've heard the last of this.

Possible solution now arises. Play the game next tuesday (FA rules for this competition state game must be played by 3rd Nov).
Any fears that Ilkeston have would be reduced as it would be nearly two weeks since player tested pos. Its a shame they have twisted their wording of the situation and not spoken to the the club before making their decision.
If game not played then at least we will get the prize money.

They state "other players within their squad have reported feeling unwell". At no time has our club stated that. ONE other player reported feeling unwell early in the week, that is why as a precaution we cancelled the Tamworth game. He has subsequently tested negative.Phil-the-Diamond wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 6:00 pmWhere have they twisted the situation?sussexdiamond wrote: ↑Thu Oct 29, 2020 5:57 pm Possible solution now arises. What is so galling about their announcement is that it seems at no time did they confer with our club.
I am pretty sure we will soon be putting out a statement of our own.
