Like every pre season, players ask for silly money, trialing at higher levels etc etc... I'm pretty sure burge can see what we need & have no doubt still talking players! Yes in the ideal world you want everything sorted for the 1st game but due to the above it's really difficult.

So I've no doubt they'll be more incoming players over next few weeks. So yes we have to be patient & give everyone some support

Well from burge’s latest interview it didn’t sound like any new arrivals were on the horizon. Patience is all well and good until we are close to the bottom and start panic signing when we could have avoided all of this and got the team sorted before the season opener. Really think we should of got some league experience in the back room staff

Putting this out there, so who would we go and sign. Players touting themselves about at the moment pre season probably 250 - 400 per week for decent players. Give it another week or so when they do t get picked up May drop that asking price down by a hundred or more. It’s so difficult pre season. I would like 3 quality signings but at the moment that anywhere north of 750 per week. It takes time.

We have the player lottery for this reason. Why does every other team not have this problem to this degree. No other team has an average team age of 22. There are players out there 100% from this league, I mean ON Chenecks have signed a player from Torquay for goodness sake. I just don’t think burge knows how to look or get in contact with them. Not to mention any of the quality players would of been trialled and signed by now. We’re too late to everything and are just playing serious catch up.

Well I'm certainly not expecting too many new arrivals now before the 6th, the lineups in the last few games have been relatively unchanged giving the impression that Burge intends for the 11 that started last night to be more or less the 11 that will play next week and hopes they will gel enough (god knows when Fossen will play for us).

While I do share your concerns obviously (and yes would have liked to have kept Biff around for that divisional experience), surely last season is a prime example of why you need to give these things time to come together, most of us, myself included, were panicking calling for a change, then look what happened.

Burge has his philosophy and vision and while we're yet to see whether it will succeed, the board wouldn't have given him a contract and fancy equipment and 'heads of' if they didn't believe in him and I personally still like his philosophy and hope he can build something and get through what has been a tough start to his time here.

I believe Burge said pre season started at 5pm after our defeat to Nuneaton on last day of the season?
Have to say (IMO) that with majority of our signings coming from our academy teams ,& that we're still short of experienced players, & still need another's striker & winger, where did the time go???
I also believe Burge said after Stamford defeat that we needed men ?? but have continued to sign the young inexperienced lads??
