Am I reading it correctly that they play at Bishop Stortford? If so they have also been drawn at home.

Does look like that. Probably our game moved to the Sunday?

Good Omen, they play at the R and D Stadium. I believe Jamie Cureton is their manager and still playing at 46. Get those boots back on Burge!!

Was certainly glad to hear it was Enfield FC and not Enfield Town when I heard who we'd drawn!

Time for a proper cup run, first round would be lovely but even the fourth qualifying round can draw Notts County or Southend which would bring in some good gate and prize money. Even the second qualifying round gives us the opportunity to draw them up the road or a bigger club like Boston or Kiddy.

The last few seasons have been so disappointing (and then there's the abysmal Newark game) after the first few FA cup campaigns that were so positive and exciting for the club. Too many managers these days dismiss the cup as a distraction from the league when at this level a lucrative cup run could make such a difference financially to the future of a club and not to mention getting the club name out there.

Regardless of who we are playing we should treat every game in the competition like a cup final, we might not set the league alight this season but there is always the opportunity to impress in the cup. Not a bad draw to start off with.

Agree totally. Financially crucial for the club. Get to 1st round proper & we would definitely be the TV game because of the link to the past Club history . AfcRD v Bolton Wanderers at Hayden Rd. Bring it on🙏🙏🤞🤞💎💎⚽️⚽️

Good post Olly. in addition to making every FA cup round a cup final we need to take one round at a time! This round is definitely winnable but also a potential banana skin. We have 2 important league games before Enfield which, at the moment, must take precedence to any potential cup run. With 4 of the next 5 league games all against teams currently just above us this could prove a yardstick as well as an opportunity to kickstart our season.
