Nige, I am more than happy to have a 'one to one" discussion with anyone re volunteering. Those that know me will know that I volunteered for a long time at the old club as well as AFC so I know and appreciate the importance of those that come forward to help out and know the sacrifices often made. I see myself as a friendly and approachable person so if anyone wants to chat on match days, I am the bald fella with goats. Today I have a navy blue jumper on. Come and chat

Given all the ideas floating around tonight and the urgent need for incentives to get people back through the gates, I thought I'd re-open this thread and ask if this idea ( which I think is a good one) went anywhere? Yes, doesn't help we are second bottom, but that doesn't mean we can't try to engage the local community and get people back.

I would suggest that if you are looking to get the Community Teams involved, and you should, then plan for the spring. Cold, wet Saturdays, small children and football very rarely work well. I've been there !

I have picked up and had an initial discussion with Mark Swindale. As things settle down I hope to put something together with Mark as I did will the Girls and Ladies teams a few weeks ago. We had 118 girls and parents attend. Parents paid a reduced rate
