Firstly, thought Beecroft was brilliant today. All over the place, good distribution, comfortable on the ball. Going to be a superb player one day.
Day had a quiet debut. Looked like one cracking save in the first half, one cock up in the second, but we got away with it - although I was sure it was going in. Thought his kicking was better than Dale's. McDonald looked a bit nervy but thats to be expected. Smith looked shattered at the end. Don't know why Thomas wasn't at least on the bench today???
Huke seems to be getting better and better. Solid performance from him and Osano today who were both out of position and had two youngsters in their backline for the last half hour including Day. Never troubled particularly.
Patto looked lively but just lacks end product a bit, although his options weren't always great. Aaron's becoming one of my favourite players, really hope it's not too serious although the stretcher is never a good sign... Cliff is becoming one of my least favourite players, without his goals he adds very little to the team IMO
Finally, even when Byrney comes of the bench he could be man of the match - SIGN HIM UP
My take on today...

I think Joe Day can be happy with his debut, glad he got his chance. Beecroft came in and did well as did Patto, who was my M.O.M. It's great that we've got decent back-up players that can't even usually make the bench!

Re: My take on today...
The winning mentality we have at the moment probably helped, and allowed Day, McDonald and Beecroft to all come in and do a good job. A couple of years ago we wouldn't have had any strength in depth, let alone be able to put a team of 'reserves' out away at Wrexham and flaming win!
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

A wrexham view.. Cause that was our full strength squad and we've won all our games this season playing like that...some fans are very frustrating.
While we were our usual rubbish and gave another goal away Rushden were very lucky to finish the match with eleven men. Rushden's number 3 got away with several fouls on Ciewelski in The first half plus he grabbed hold of him raising his hands which is a straight red according to the rules and then their manager Justin Edinburgh has the cheek to say the major decisions went against their team. Shocking. As bad as Wrexham were yesterday I was not impressed by Rushden at all and there is no chance they will get promoted.

Ignore it mate - typical comment from a losing side.

Diamond down South.
Re: My take on today...
It was nice to round off the set of away games from Rothwell / Ilfracombe to Wrexham with a win.
I thought Patto and Beecroft did really well in midfield. The ref seemed to let Wrexham get away with some really firm pushes in the back (although the lino on the far side in the first half didn't help), so Robbo was unlucky to be the first player penalised for a push just before half-time, which made his yellow card in the second rather inevitable. Quite how a ref can compare that yellow with the one he gave to Brown for his cynical challenge on Aaron O'connor isn't clear.
The Wrexham crowd seem pretty fed up with Dean Saunders - it may be that we have repeated the favour we did for them with Brian Little, as I wouldn't be surprised if he's not in charge by the time the next game comes around at the Racecourse Ground.
