Big day for the bottom six tomorrow
Diamonds v Stratford, Hednesford v Alvechurch, Kings Langley v Barwell. A win for us and the others draw would be a good result.

Funny how the fixtures today ended up like this, it will be a fascinating day!sussexdiamond wrote: Fri Jan 27, 2023 10:21 pm Big day for the bottom six tomorrow

An unknown today with a new team playing together for the first time, but what an opportunity against a team in even worse form than us, they have won just once since we last met mid September, even we've won 4 times in that period.
Tough ask though for our new lads being thrown into a relegation scrap, on paper can see a lot of potential in the players that have come in, but they are still for the most part young and limited in experience at this level, certainly going to be the most anticipated teamsheet today, haven't a clue what the starting lineup might look like!

any chance we had of staying up must surely have gone now. We were second best against a team just above us, who played half an hour with ten men and were one of the weakest opponents to visit us this season. It was more of the same old story today, no end product in the final third with very little service for the lone striker.
Some promising performances from the new players, mainly anker, atcha and doorbar-baptist. But this is now all about building for next season, which is highly likely to be at step 4.

And that's why we're going down. Not much going forwards at all, and missed our 2 golden chances. I just want to see some building for next season and the manager has much work to do. Very flat after that "performance ".

We just can’t seem to find a way to have shots at goal, apart from Burnside’s 1-on-1 which probably should’ve been put away we don’t test keepers.

Disappointing considering we had the extra training sessions for boys to bed in (as games were cancelled).
Feel for Nunn & the board as a decent crowd today saw such a poor performance. Players obviously need more time. Re build for step 4 is the priority IMO. Unfortunately it's a bad loss to a bang average Stratford team. ☹

I do think it was part due to a strong save but still we can’t afford to miss them. Cooper also had a golden chance but put it wide… A shoot on sight policy maybe needed.Ricky330 wrote: Sat Jan 28, 2023 6:13 pmUnfortunately, that's why he is a step 6 strikerGreekDiamond wrote: Sat Jan 28, 2023 6:03 pm We just can’t seem to find a way to have shots at goal, apart from Burnside’s 1-on-1 which probably should’ve been put away we don’t test keepers.![]()
