Yeah, but the 50/60 fans on here know what they're talking about Tony. ;)

Or think they do!

That's correct - http://www.thediamondsfc.com/page/NewsD ... 24,00.html It's the one voted on by the 1000 or so fans at Nene Park, rather than the 50/60 on here.
Was there any need to take that tone?

Indeed, I was being diplomatic about it. I knew it was the one in the shop.

Again I fail to see the need. No one had made any claims as to the stature of either.

You could have 140 years of no achievement, or twenty years of glorious victories, you decide.

Are you on your period? He was only saying the main vote is quite a big deal.

Yeah, to be honest I doubt 1000 people voted in the other one anyway!

I'm not taking anything away from either. Who cares how many people voted. I'd just like to see two separate players get the two awards.

I believe in previous years we were handed a voting slip on entering the ground. This didn't happen for the first time in many years and when I went in the club shop a couple of weeks I didn't see any voting slips so I can't imagine many people actually voted.

Yeah i completely agree. Was saying to a mate last night, there seem to be 3 players who are attracting most of the vote, and it would be fantasic if we could have three seperate winners.

It really doesn't matter what the stature of the relevant awards are, it is just the fans showing their appreciation of different players for their outstanding committments to the cause of giving us our best season for a while!

I presented this Board's award to Jamie last season, he's a top bloke !! What makes him my POTS is his leadership, he had a slow start, came through it and has led a lot of young players by example !! Well deserved IMO.
