What a fantastic response that was on the back of our recent poor form. Fair play to each and every one of those Diamonds players, they did us proud today. Such a big improvement. How great it feels to pull off a shock against one of the promotion chasing, top five sides.
It almost felt surreal when we went 2-0 up but it was a nice reward for the bright start. Our goal certainly led a charmed life in that second half after they’d pulled one back, but excellent spirit from the team to just about repel what Worcester had to throw at us. A really composed finish from Jamal at the end to seal an impressive result.
Anstey will be an even tougher test than today, but we should have the confidence now to have a real crack at them. Well played Diamonds!
