Looking at Saturday with some trepidation.
Initially I was impressed by the signings especially as Sandy was at least four weeks behind other clubs.
However the PSF's have not given me any confidence things will be much improved on last season, particularly our lack of goals despite signing at least three new strikers.
Hopefully Sandy will have his full squad, including Winter, on Saturday and att 5pm I will be looking forward to the next round.
Makes me think you’ve just been reading the final scores and not been at the matches with a comment like that. The way and style we have played especially against Cambridge City, Blackstones, Bilston and Harborough is completely different to last year and years before. The team is much tougher, the quality of player has skyrocketed. Are we missing the final touch into goal, sure but we’ve created the chances! It’s not perfect but things can be worked on.
I’m looking very much forward to the season! Starting Saturday!
I saw the Chenecks and Takeley games. No goals scored and very few chances created and terrible defensive errors. I think we scored 6 goals in 8 games and only a couple were by our "strikers". Sandy has already acknowledged that by signing Poku and I wouldn't be surprised to see another one signed.
I do accept that a completely new squad does take time to gel but we MUST win our first 2 games or support will suffer and it would take a long time to recover..

Genuinely can't believe, understand or agree with this viewpoint. It's pre season, results do not matter, getting minutes into legs and establishing some shape are what's important.
I seem to remember our pre season before winning the conference was absolutely terrible. Now if we get to 10 games in then yeah we may have reason to complain but right now it's far too early
You may have a different viewpoint on PSF games but you must agree that the first two games both at home are vital, especially the FA Cup game.
We cannot afford to be dumped out of the Cup so early yet again.

Of course there important, and I've absolutely no doubt that the management, board and players will want to win and do all they can, however both are difficult games! Us as fan need to do our bit aswell, as some of the negatives comments on social media are alittle embarrassing! Of course everyone entitled the opinion, but for very long time there's actually been some excitement around the place, the new management, plenty of new players, board busting a bollock (who are all volunteers and have day jobs and families) as it's clear with the amount of new sponsors on board, social media person thanking these businesses is great to see and I'm guessing alot of hardwork and time! I feel we've recruited well but let's remember we're still probably a bottom half budget. Lets do our bit by remaining positive, add to the buzz and get behind management & lads. We all know there's going to be ups & downs but fingers crossed come 5pm Saturday were in the next round. Up the

Couldn’t agree more. Being negative when there is so much positive going on seems self defeating to me. Let’s be supportive and get behind an ambitious young manager who has recruited well and a squad of players that in my opinion is a massive step up from what we’ve seen over the last three seasons
From a purely financial perspective I suspect the FA Cup is crucial.
The board made clear that they were willing to front load spending on the squad to give us the best chance of progressing in cup competitions. Given the calibre of players Sandy has brought in, I think that is exactly what the board has done. Failure to progress in the FA Cup would result in us having to claw back early season overspends with far reaching consequences later into the season.

While I think to judge the team on friendlies and that we must win the first two games of the season despite being a new team is unreasonable, I certainly won't disagree with the point on the FA Cup.
As much as we hate them, we need to look at what the team up the A6 managed to achieve last season and with two BBC TV appearances as well, the impact, financially and also reputation and status can be enormous for any non league club. It's unrealistic to expect us to progress all the way from the EP round to the first round proper, but we really need to at least progress a few rounds this time.
