Real Bedford win 3-1. If they get promoted will they merge with Town? As both would be in Nat North.
My understanding is that it was postponed last summer as any merger would require the "new" club to compete in the division of the lower club.
Anyone have any info on that?

Spalding won other semi 1-0.

Yes and no. There was a merger proposed, Bedford Town's fans were not happy, there is history with McCormack, so the Bedford Town directors pulled out.

As long as ground grading is met a merged club would be eligible to play at the level of the higher club (see Dunstable Town/AFC Dunstable who are merging this summer).

I doubt if there will be any further talks this summer, Brownie may have some inside information. Ground grading may be an issue for Real Bedford (why invest in the ground when 90% of your fans are watching a live stream?) so ground sharing could be a more likely scenario.

I think it's McCormack who's pictured with a gun in Tuesday's programme. Seems like a great bloke...

No chance of any merger while the present owners are at the Eagles or anyone else hopefully!!
I’ve been to a couple of Bitcoin Bedford games and I’m amazed they are even being allowed to compete in the playoffs as they may have got away with it in Southern but their ground is way off National League requirements and can’t see how they could get it up to standard. Unless it’s a reverse of the early Diamonds day regarding grading!!
If they win on Monday (please god I hope they don’t) I can only imagine they will have to find somewhere to ground share and not many in this area meet requirements, could be a nice little earner for someone.

He is a special sort of character and appears to thrive on winding people up and pi..ing others off, the Beds Senior Cup Final won’t be at Luton this season I believe as Unreal Bedford are in it.
